With the New Year fresh in our minds and the ink on our resolutions still not dry, let's all look ahead to the upcoming summer (although with the current weather conditions, I know it's difficult, but we still can dream) and a new you.
Whether it's because of our busy schedules, the holidays, or maybe even a recent addition to the family (congrats to all of you who had babies last year and are raising your little ones), we just don't have time to hit the gym or attend VIBES classes as much as we'd like to and I fully understand; however, I'd like to point a few things out to you.
According to webmd.com, in order to maintain your current weight, women between the ages 19-51 should have a calorie intake of between 1800-2400 calories per day. In order to lose weight, it is recommended that to lose a pound per week you would need to decrease total calories by 500 a day.
You can't do that by walking because, according to exercise.com, you'll only burn 80 calories per hour. Running? That's only 15 calories more! This is where VIBES can come into play.
Look, maybe you're thinking that I am only trying to promote VIBES (which I kinda am, lol), but that's most certainly not the case. I want each and every one of my students to achieve whatever weight goals they have and I know that VIBES can be a huge part of that. I've had several students who have documented cases where they've burned over 1400 calories in one VIBES class. Again 1400+ calories in one hour!
